In Partnership

Startup Nation in Galilee
Kobi Cohen

In this session, we share the story of how Kobi Cohen and his co-founders started KTI Tech. They began the business because they saw that Israel needed more trained electronic workers each year. They also identified groups of people, especially new immigrants and women, who weren’t offered equal education opportunities. Motivated by his faith, Kobi trained others to succeed and fill a gap in the market.

Discussion Questions

Many Forms of Partnership

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to partnerships. Whether it’s with co-founders or in the company of other communities it’s putting to death the Lone Wolf mindset of going father alone.

  • In what ways are you actively pursuing partnerships that go well beyond networking or key business connections?

  • Pursuing partnerships is about more than just what you get. It’s also about what you give. How will you be sure to keep this equilibrium in balance?

Go Alone? Or Go Together

There’s an old African proverb that goes something like this, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” As entrepreneurs, we have a tendency to focus on speed to market which puts us in jeopardy of missing out on the power of partnership.

  • What are the challenges to working alongside people? What are the benefits? How does collaboration relate to the biblical principles we find in scripture?

  • We’ve all heard the stories of partnerships going sideways or taking down businesses. What practical ways can you ensure that you build strong relationships built on trust? What do you as a leader need to do to be a good partner?

Providing Jobs

  • How might your business meet a need in your society?

  • How can you empower others with your expertise?
