Cassidy Lackey has faithfully served his church as an elder for over a decade. In that time, he has helped lead different marketplace ministry groups for the congregation, but as an entrepreneur himself, he saw a unique need to care for the business leaders in his community.
“The entrepreneurial journey is pretty lonely a lot of times. Your family doesn't understand it; your friends don't understand it, and so it's always great to have other entrepreneurs around who you can ask really hard questions to who really do understand it.”
He discovered Faith Driven Entrepreneur through the podcast and online videos and was impressed by the “biblically sound” content. Once he heard about the groups, he got excited about bringing one into his church.
“The group is very synergistic for us. We already had teams of people that have businesses or work as executives and people who have a gift of generosity and things like that. It fits so well into most churches' group concepts.”
Cassidy has seen how the content and community has shaped the people of Cross Timbers and has empowered them to live with a renewed understanding of what it means for God to own their business.
“The group has provided a safe space to share our business successes and challenges in the framework around what God has planned for us and our business. Together, we are able to see how we can leverage our business as a ministry to our customers, employees, and community.”
